Thank you for coming over to look - whether it's from genuine interest or morbid curiosity.

Careerwise, contacting you and sending this unsolicited proposal is the most ambitious and riskiest thing I’ve ever done.

No doubt, the music industry experts here are you. TA’s founders have been on all sides of it, so there’s probably not a lot on the site that will be new information to you. However, since this is basically a cold-call, it’s been laid out to demonstrate my understanding of this particular area. In that regard, it’s more like an extended CV than a proposal.

Managing an active band definitely has dozens, if not hundreds, of different aspects. The business side has to balance between various avenues of income and the commitment they require, because no matter how many people are behind them, the artists only have so much time and energy.

As an evergreen product, membership models need less involvement from the artists and provide a steadier income than the highs and lows of the off season vs album and touring season. Income which translates into higher dividends for the stakeholders as well as capital for investing in support projects.

The team handling Rosearium has to weigh revenue against fan expectations and weigh those together against the artists’ workload - and their own.

It’s not easy to give an unsolicited critique to strangers because it carries the risk of seeming like a disparaging ass. But without the opinion that there’s still room to grow, what’s the point of this proposal? This issue is in contrast to all your other accomplishments. What it really shows is just how full everyone’s hands are. Your capabilities are exceeding your current capacity and this is simply proposing one way to increase that capacity a bit.

Let’s get this out of the way…

This was going to be left for the profile, but you're probably on alert against anyone who contacts you out of the blue. So, it’s better to answer a question you are likely asking right now.

"How do we know you’re not a sasaeng trying to sneak in?"

Usually it’s hard to prove things don’t exist, but as for being a sasaeng or not…

Given the topic, obviously the artists’ participation is needed, but there’s nothing in the plan that necessarily requires my direct contact with them.

Also, you can confirm in Rosearium that I’ve made 0 contributions. It seems wrong to say “I’d like to be involved in the process of maintaining a platform which I’m willing to be a paying member of, but do not participate in,” but that serves as an example of a disengaged fan.

Time is the only true test of trustworthiness, but I hope this is a strong enough base for you to give me the benefit of the doubt. The proposal itself should assure confidence in my professional motive.
